With almost 40 years of existence, Repercussion Theatre has been an important part of Montreal’s English theatre community for quite some time. Although most of those 40 years have been spent putting on plays, there is more than meets the eye with your local Shakespeare company.
Words with Will
Launched in 2016, in partnership with Playwrights Workshop Montréal, Words with Will is Repercussion Theatre’s ongoing play development series that supports new plays by contemporary Canadian writers. These plays are inspired by and/or talk back to Shakespeare in some way, and allow audiences to engage with the work at various stages of the process.
The Table Collective
Once a month, theatre makers are invited to join us and share a project they are currently writing. In exchange, the other participants then give their impressions, opinions and notes, helping the author develop their work through this writing circle. The table is hosted completely in Frenglish as we believe each linguistic community has a lot to learn from the other.
