In the epic style of some of Shakespeare’s most fantastic adventures, Shakespeare’s Lost Play is the musical joumey of a strangely effeminate American hero (Fecky IX), who is cast out from his home and sent out on a three-fold mission by the ghostly spirit of his father. As the illusions pile up and the laughs pile on, our hero travels to the four corners of the world on his daunting quest: a search for his long lost brother, an attempt to find the value of a briefcase full of cash and a desperate try to lose his Virginian status. Along the way he discovers he has an evil twin who is bent on dominating the world and destroying his do-gooder sibling. In the end, after an unforgettable battle to the finish, good does triumph over evil. None of your favourite Shakespearean classics escape the razor sharp satire of this outrageously funny parody. There is nothing classical about this play… unless you love a classically great night under the stars.
